Consulting and Planning
The tiles and slabs produced can be finished with different surface finishing options such as calibrating-sanding and polishing, abrasive brushing, chemical treatments, digital decorations and others that can be developed in-house or in collaboration with specialised partners.
The composition of the mix can include a wide range of aggregates, such as natural stone, quartz, recycled and crushed ceramics or glass with different grain hardnesses and compositions.
In addition, new cement qualities, innovative chemical additives and reinforcing fibres can also be tested in order to develop evolved and ‘engineered’ products with higher performance and attractiveness.
Research & Development
OCEM’s research and development department is equipped with a rotary laboratory press with a working pressure of 400 tonnes, to produce tiles using, if required, the customer’s own raw materials, which can then evaluate the correct configuration of the plant before investing technical and economic resources.
Our in-depth knowledge developed on cement-agglomerate products has guided OCEM’s engineers to develop a wide range of presses, managing the pressing cycles and parameters of each mix design. This important knowledge has led OCEM to design and develop machines and complete finishing lines that can also operate with special tools (such as: diamonds, abrasives, abrasive brushes, etc.) specially developed for the different processing of cement products.
